In a snowy Week 12 Thursday Night Football matchup, the Pittsburgh Steelers lost to the Cleveland Browns, 24-19, at Huntington Bank Field. The game started without any snow, and by the end of the game it looked like the screen was pixelated it was snowing so hard.
Despite going scoreless in the first quarter, the Browns were able to adjust to the elements and mobilize their offense quicker than the Steelers, putting the first points on the board in the second. Quarterback Jameis Winston was clutch throughout, going 18-of-27 for 219 yards and tacking on a rushing touchdown of his own.
Cleveland clinched the win with a 2-yard touchdown by Nick Chubb, giving the Browns a one-point lead with just 57 seconds remaining.

This touchdown was quite a comeback after the Steelers briefly took a 19-18 lead earlier in the fourth quarter.
Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson, who completed 21 of 28 passes for 270 yards and one touchdown, reportedly struggled to adjust to the snow-covered field. Despite a solid performance overall, Wilson couldn’t lead the Steelers to a game-winning drive in the final moments.

Pittsburgh’s defense had a tough time containing the Browns’ running attack, and Myles Garrett’s dominant play, including multiple sacks, kept the Steelers from finding any offensive rhythm.
The loss ended the Steelers’ five-game winning streak and tightened the AFC North standings, with the Baltimore Ravens now closing in on the division lead. Despite the setback, Pittsburgh remains in strong contention for a playoff spot as the season heads into its final stretch.
After the loss, Steelers wide receiver George Pickens was frustrated with the disappointing loss and said, “I don’t really think the Cleveland Browns are a good team at all. I think the conditions kind of saved them today.”
